What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file that a website saves on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. It enables the website to remember your actions and preferences, such as login, language, font size and other display preferences, over a period of time. Therefore, you don’t have to keep re-entering them whenever you come back to the site or browse from one page to another.
Cookies may be either "persistent" cookies or "session" cookies:
- → a persistent cookie will be stored by a web browser and will remain valid until its set expiry date, unless deleted by the user before the expiry date;
- → a session cookie, on the other hand, will expire at the end of the user session, when the web browser is closed.
Our approach
We avoid tracking and profiling visitors of our own website and our clients booking websites and we use a minimal number of cookies at all times, as mentioned below. We do give you the change to let us collect only strictly necessary cookies.
Cookies verwalten
You have control over your cookies as most browsers allow you to refuse or accept cookies and to delete cookies. To be honest, while you can block all cookies from our website, you may find difficulties in seeing and using all the features we have on our website.
It is a good idea to consider using cookie blocking technology and/or a Do Not Track feature in your web browser to empower yourself with controls over what aspects of your browsing history you make available to third parties.
This will vary between browsers and different versions - check the links below to be updated about blocking and deleting cookies based on your needs:
